Thai-Yoga-Massage
The roots for the Thai-Yoga-Massage (TYM) can be found in the Indian ayurvedic medicine. This form of massage which is known as a medical healing skill goes back to the Theravada-Buddhism, Thailand’s dominating religion.
Thai Yoga Massage is called Nuad in Thailand and until today, the „Wat Pho Tempel“ in Bangkok is the only Buddhist temple to practice and teach traditional Thai Massage
The effect of the Thai-Yoga-Massage is based on relaxation; it helps the body to remain flexible and mobile and has a positive impact on the vital organs. Furthermore, it vitalizes the body and gives energy and self confidence for body and soul.
The concept of Thai-Yoga Massage is based on the invisible energy lines within our body. The energy flowing through these lines controls all physical, mental and emotional processes. If this energy flow is interrupted or disturbed, for example by stress, an accident or an unhealthy lifestyle, the consequences are often illnesses or pain.
Those ten traditional energy lines are activated on the whole body through acupressure with the heel of the hand, thumb, feet, elbows and knees by using the pressure of body weight. Additionally stretching exercises, gentle manipulation of the joints and passive Yoga positions and certain elements from the AcroYoga are implemented.
Thai-Yoga Massage is used in a meditative way, in practicing attentiveness and loving kindness. Therefore Thai-Yoga Massage differentiates itself clearly from other kinds of massages like the Sport-, Aroma- and the Swedish Massage. This traditional energy method is practiced in comfortable clothing on a mat on the floor.
Heated herbal pouches can additionally intensify the massage
