Course content and schedule for the Massage Training

1st and 2nd day

Introduction into the history of Keralite Massage / Chavutti Thirummal.
Short film about the procedure of the massage in the Lahu village with Prabhat Menon.
A little insight into the ayurvedic teachings. Clarification of the separate Doshas, the use of the ayurvedic oils and their preparation (which herbs and essential oils are added at what time). First practices with the rope for balance.

3rd and 4th day

Treatment techniques with the feet in the prone position (face-down position), back arms, hands, legs and bottom.

5th and 6th day

Treatment techniques with the feet in the supine position, rib cage, stomach, arms, hands, legs and face.

7th and 8 th day

Treatment techniques with the feet in the lateral position and sitting down, legs, feet, arms, back, bottom, shoulders and neck.

9th and 10th day

Repeating of exercises for all positions. Practice of an entire massage under supervision.
Discussion of the final treatment.

Lose and warm, comfortable clothing
(it might be cool in the early morning) for meditation and Yoga. Short pants and some old shirts for the massage (shirts will be full of oil), camping mat and old towels.
