Keralite Massage (Chavutti Thirummal) is an ayurvedic bodily work of art performed with the feet. Kerala (Southern India) is one of the centers for traditional Indian and ayurvedic medicine and the home of Chavutti Thirummal, the Keralite Massage.
Keralite- and Thai Massage seem to be different, but both come from the same background of Yoga and are based on exceptional healing powers from balancing energy.
For the Keralite Massage the patient lies on a mat on the floor. Healing oils are gently applied to the body and the patient will then be massaged using the feet. During massage I use a robe for balance and support. This allows me to use my body weight accordingly and apply more or less pressure to the muscles of the patient where needed.
This massage is offered as a seven or 15-day treatment, which includes a day of rest after the third or seventh day. Duration and intensity of the massage increase until the day of rest and decrease after.
This 7/15 day treatment is rejuvenating for your entire body and can be further supported by the patient with a diet or a fasting week. The treatment is also offered as a one day treatment. Length for the one day treatment is approximately two hours.
